On Sunday the 24th of August between 00:15AM and 04:15AM GMT(UK time) our card processing partner, Modulr needs to upgrade their infrastructure to ensure they continue providing a reliable platform. This means they need to schedule an outage of their platform while the upgrade is carried out.
During this maintenance period, you will experience the following:
• API calls to their endpoints will be unsuccessful during this maintenance period and return 500 responses.
• All Modulr services, including our payment services, are unavailable.
Will the outage last for the whole 4 hours?
Modulr aims to complete the maintenance well within the timeframe.
Can we send API calls during this time?
API calls will receive a 500 response. If your platform can replay messages that got this response, we would like to encourage you to do so. Your API calls will succeed as soon as the platform is back online, so you don't need to take any manual intervention.
What happens to any API calls that receive a 500 response?
Any API calls that receive a 500 response can be safely retried.
Can we send outbound payments during this time?
No, all outbound payment services will be unavailable during this time.
Will inbound payments be accepted during this time?
Faster Payments sent to Modulr accounts during this period will be applied once the maintenance has concluded.
During this period, all SEPA payments will be unsuccessful.
As the maintenance window is taking place over the weekend, our other supported inbound payment types (CHAPS, SEPA Credit Transfer) are unaffected, as they do not deposit during the weekend.
Will card authorisations be processed during this time?
No, all card authorisations will be unsuccessful.
Please note: Pax2pay Payment Services cards, issued under our own licence, will not be impacted.
